Flea species
Scientists have described more than 2000 species of fleas. All flea species, without exception, feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals or birds and do not differ in attachment to their carrier, with the exception of insects that parasitize on bats.
In the post-Soviet space, such species of fleas, canine, feline, earthy, human, parasites of rodents, birds, and rabbits are widespread. It is difficult for an inexperienced eye of a layman to distinguish between them, given the miniature size of insects and their ability to migrate. You can see obvious differences only in photographs, which are widely represented in the gallery of the heading.
