Drops Bars forte - a highly effective drug for the destruction of blood-sucking insects such as fleas, and ticks or beetle eaters. It is used both for treatment and for prophylactic purposes during periods of greatest activity of insects.

Drops of Bars forte are an insecticaricidal preparation, which includes fipronil, an insect growth regulator and excipients. The impact of the insecticide on the nervous system of the parasite leads to its paralysis, and subsequently to death. The active substance applied to the skin accumulates in the sebaceous glands of the skin without being absorbed into the blood. It acts on parasites, standing out together with the secretion of the sebaceous glands on the surface of the skin.

The growth regulator disrupts the development of the pest (the process of molting, pupation and fledging of the larva). This causes a break in the life cycle of the insect, which provides a long period of protection of the animal.

The tool is available in the form of a liquid solution, which is placed in a tube-pipette. One bottle may contain 3 or 4 pipettes of 1.8 ml, 1.0 ml or 0.5 ml of insecticide. The number of necessary doses is selected taking into account the weight of the pet.

Dogs weighing up to 1 kg need only 4 drops. If the weight of the animal varies from 1 to 5 kg, you will need 1 pipette with a dosage of 1.0 ml. For pets in the weight category up to 10 kg, 1 pipette with a dosage of 1.8 ml is needed. Dogs up to 20 kg should be treated with a double dose, and accordingly 3 pipettes of 1.8 ml each will be needed to process the animal up to 30 kg. For larger dogs, the dosage is selected at the rate of 1 pipette for every 10 kg.

The drug is also suitable. for treating cats against fleas. Animals up to 1 kg will need only 2 drops, weighing up to 3 kg - 6 drops, respectively. More large-sized pets will need 1 pipette with a dosage of 1.0 ml.

Important!

For use in dogs of large breeds, the agent is applied by the drip method along the spine (in places inaccessible for licking). This is necessary in order to prevent the product from dripping over the dog's coat.

Application rules

Instructions for use are enclosed in each package of the product, which should be carefully read before using the drug.

1. Having placed the pipette in an upright position with the narrowed part up, gently cut off its nose.
2. The solution is applied in an appropriate dose to the skin, having previously spread the coat. It is important that the skin is not wet or damaged. To animals of small dimensions, the solution is dripped at the withers. For large dogs, the drug is applied in several places: between the ears, shoulder blades, in the lumbar region and tail.
3. The manufacturer does not recommend exposing the animal to water procedures 2 days before and after pest control. In addition, contact with young children should be limited.
4. To remove the sticky tick Bars forte is applied to the body of the parasite. If it does not come out after 20-30 minutes, then it is carefully pulled out independently.
5. You can also apply Bars forte drops for puppies who have reached 2 months of age. But for use by pregnant, lactating, sick or weakened animals, they are contraindicated.
6. The individual intolerance of the components included in the drops may cause a side effect in the dog in the form of an allergic reaction, increased salivation, photophobia or vomiting. If such symptoms are found, the solution must be rinsed immediately with water using soap or zoo shampoo.
7. The effect of the drug lasts for 30-60 days.
